I get a call from Shannon yesterday and our conversation goes a little bit like this:
Shannon: Max. Amanda Lepore is sitting right now in Union Square.
Me: WHAT??
Shannon: Amanda Lepore is SITTING in UNION SQUARE RIGHT NOW. I see her.
Me: OhmyGOD. Really?
Shannon: Yess! I’m going to walk past her again…. Yeah! That’s totally her! I was like, who do I call to tell this? And then I was like, Max! Of course!
Me: You HAVE to go get a picture with her. Use your camera phone. NOW.
Shannon: Noooooo! I’m too afraid!
Me: Shannon. Do it for ME. I will love you forever and be your best friend on earth. Do it.
Shannon: No! I would do it if you were here, but I’m too afraid to right now.
Me: Shannon. You have to. You HAVE to. Do it. DO IT! You’ll never get this chance again! Just go up to her and ask for a picture!
Shannon: Uhhh….. Okay. Okay. I’m going to do it. I will. No. Wait. I’m too scared!
Me: Shannon! Don’t be scared! Go do it! Go hang up the phone, get the pictures, and TEXT THEM TO ME.
And she did!
