The coolest thing you’ve ever seen

So, I was coming back into the dorm from dinner with some friends when two guys in the hallway stopped us. They were like, “Do you guys want to see something really cool? Can I use your microwave?” Usually, when you hear somebody say something like that, you should normally say no. Especially when afterwards, they mention that they would also need to be using some matches. My friends and I were curious but we insisted that the guys use their own microwave instead of mine.

We went to one of the guys’ rooms and watched as he got a drinking glass, some matches, and several pieces of kneaded eraser. He started by attaching some of the pieces of kneaded eraser to the bottom of the drinking glass. Then, he took a match, lit it, and stuck it into another lump of eraser. He put the match/eraser combo in the microwave, put the glass/eraser thing on top of it and put turned the microwave on. What we saw was nothing short if INSANELY COOL. Apparently, doing all of these steps creates the fourth stage of matter, plasma. After watching the microwave turn into a mini nuclear bomb and probably having it mutate all of our brain cells, I insisted that the guy do it again so I could record it with my cellphone:

What did you do over the holidays?

This past Thursday, I was at home, entertaining some friends of the family when my sister called me. She wanted me to walk over to her friend Lena’s house (about three blocks from our own) to pick her up. I insisted that she just walk home herself, but my sister, being the stubborn uncooperative person that she is, refused. And it’s a good thing that she did, too.

I excused myself from our guests and walked over to meet my sister half way between our house and Lena’s house. When I met her, we turned and started walking back towards our own house. We crossed “R” Avenue and entered the small “S” street. We were talking about something completely random and casual when all of the sudden, we heard some sort of loud stomping noise behind us.
