Thursday & Friday
I’m really enjoying the whole New York City thing more and more. Thursday, my LCD (Light, Color, and Design, I think) class went to Chelsea to look at galleries. I love that I can just go out and see tons of really good artwork all the time. Later that night, Russell and I drove to Manhattan and ate at the Moondance Diner (where Mary Jane worked in Spider Man). Then we decided to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge twice and eat ice cream.
Friday, I went with Adrienne and Shannon to the Met to take pictures of things I need to write an Art History paper on. Later, we met up with Russell, Elaina, and her friend at St. Marks Place (this totally AWESOME street with a bunch of funky little shops and restaurants).
More Photoshopped Pop Art
My sister was upset with the similarly-styled image I made that featured a picture of her cross-eyed with the words, “I pee upside down” next to it. Feeling kind of bad that it was not viewed as humorously as I thought it would be, I created some more images for her to use on her MySpace profile.
Photoshop Experimentation
My photography teacher was discussing the use of filters and channels in dark room and photoshop editing about a week back and it got me pretty excited. I’ve basically been fiddling around in photoshop with a lot of my old photographs to see what sorts of effects I can get. I’m hoping to use similar styles in a few upcoming photoshoots that I do.
