Divine Finds

One of the first people who came and visited my tent at the Allentown Art Festival last June was a girl named Erikka. She and a couple of her friends walked over to me, still assembling the walls and putting up the pictures and looked enthusiastically through my photographs. She got extremely excited and asked somewhat bashfully if I wouldn’t mind taking pictures of her some time. I told her that I’m always looking for new models and that I would love to. We exchanged e-mails, MySpaces, and phone numbers, and I told her to call me whenever she wanted.

Well, after about two months or so, she called me last week while I was at the printers, getting large-sized pictures for my upcoming art show. “Hey, Max, this is Erikka…” she said shyly. “Well, it’s my birthday next Friday and I was wondering if you were free to take pictures of me some time before that so I can show all of my friends and feel like a rock star….” I told her that the next Monday would work and that she should e-mail me to follow up since I’m horrible at getting back to people.

I got David (new model featured in my “Dirty Dancing” photoshoot) who works at Divine Finds to get us in and we basically went wild with all of the great vintage clothes. Erikka brought three of her own friends and Mary and Russell came along as well. The photos came out perfectly. Erikka’s short, platinum blonde hair and retro figure really complimented the clothing excellently. To see the photos in a slideshow, click here. To see the photos in an album, click here.
