Weekend Recap 5/21

• At school on Friday, Hoa and I hung out behind the stage in the auditorium and watched episodes of House and Sex And The City on DVD on my sleeping bag. We should have maybe been writing our ten-page research papers that are due on Tuesday, but we felt lazy.

• Later in the night, Katie called and said that we’d be going to Six Flags Darien Lake at eleven at night to go to something called “Grad Night” or whatever. I basically told her that it sounded mad crazy shady, but I was alright with going.

• Josh, Katie, and I went to dinner at Towne restaurant at like nine o’clock and decided that since nobody else was really going to Darien Lake, it would kind of be a waste of gas to go all the way out there. We decided to go to Delaware Park instead.

• So we go to Delaware Park, hang out for a little while. The people up there are insanely paranoid and they stop everything they’re doing if a car drives by, just in case it’s the cops. There were a few false alarms and we all ran off into the darkness a couple of times.

• After that, we went with Deion to pick up Katie’s friend Virginia and her boyfriend downtown and drive them to Mighty Taco and then back home.

• The next morning, I woke up with like five hours of sleep and Katie and I went to the Central Terminal to go to the art show with my stuff in it. The place was REALLY kind of creepy and suspicious. There were like three cars in the parking lot and no sign telling us where to go. Just a tiny door open in the wall of this giant abandoned train station. Inside, it was colder than it was outside and there were maybe ten people milling around, checking out the artwork. We set up my laptop on the pedestal my art teacher had set up next to my photos and had it play a slideshow for maybe an hour. Then, deciding that that was quite enough time for anybody who wanted to see the pictures to see them, we left.

• After that, Katie and I went to her “Gumpa’s” house and walked his dog and hung out with him for like fifteen minutes. Katie showed him the information about Eckerd College, the place she’ll be going this fall.

• Katie and I then went back to her house, listened to music for a little bit, went to Dairy Queen, then went back and hung out for a little bit longer. We decided that it might be fun to do a podcast so we got into her car and tried to set it up. I discovered that my garage band application was busted and that I needed to reinstall it so we drove back to my house to try and do that.

• When we got o my house, the whole place was basically all gross and messy and it smelled really bad because my father had just cooked bacon. I was a little bit embarrassed because Katie has only now seen my house really crazy during a party or really messy during regular hours. I tried to straighten up a bit while my laptop was sorting stuff out.

• The laptop never really did sort stuff out and I tried to fix it a bunch more times as we drove to pick up Josh and then to Mythos for some dinner. Katie got a chicken wrap and I got hummus and pita and a grilled cheese sandwich. Both of our dinners kind of made us sick and we stopped at Wilson Farms to buy a bottle of Pepto-Bismol which we hurriedly took shots of once we got to Spot Coffee to meet up with Jill and Chuck.

• We hung out at Spot for a few hours. Katie and I tried to purge our bodies as best we could of whatever was making us sick and I bought some mint tea for my tummy. Katie’s boyfriend, Ryan, dropped in for a little bit and hung out with us.

• We said good night to Chuck and Jill and Jill’s friend Hannah. Josh and I went to pick some people up and we danced in the car several times to Cascada’s “Bady Boy.” We then met up Katie back at Delaware Park. Not that many people were there, so we left after a short time. I really had to use the bathroom, too.

• Katie and I met up with Josh and a bunch more other people at Jim’s Steakout. I used the bathroom. They ordered food. There was a little bit of drama that involved somebody screw-facing somebody and then somebody who wore fuzzy flip-flops and we ended up being falsely accused of being rude delinquents.

• Josh and I went to drop some people off and then he dropped me off at home at around three-thirty. I slept until two. I think that’s the latest I’ve slept in my entire life.

• Mom mom and I went to the library today to pick up books for my research paper on evolution and sexual attraction. I felt slightly perverted as the librarian checked out like ten sex books for me.
