I’m not a very political person. Probably because I can’t vote and because I basically tend to follow what my elders agree with politically. I’m not a huge fan of Bush, I really didn’t like the whole war with Iraq thing, and I sort of feel sorry for him. That said, I still don’t like how people are so completely mean about him! I mean, I guess people have been mean about other presidents, and I shouldn’t be talking about this since my memory of presidents mostly only goes as far back as the beginning of Clinton, but still…. I think we’re getting a little over the top.
Sure, he’s not everybody’s favorite guy in the whole world. People don’t have to go on about it. I can hardly walk into an independent book shop without being bombarded by rude anti-bush books, posters, bumper stickers, buttons, games, and other annoying things. Do people need somebody that desperately to pick on? Does it make them feel better? I was in a shop once and saw a deck of Bush playing cards with pictures of pretzels on them! Come one, anybody could choke on a pretzel!
Then there are all of these anti-bush magazines and books, too. Enough already! I understand that you’re exercising your constitutional rights as an American, but you’re going too far!
Are stores trying to seem more intellectual-friendly by selling things like that? I mean, nearly half of the people in the country voted for Bush, and I don’t think stores want half of their customers never to return due to having angry anti-Bush products thrown in their faces!
There are also several anti-Bush websites that I have seen. Some websites compare him to animals, some websites make fun of his word pronunciation (which is fairly funny, but those words tend to be mispronounced by many people).
I think that we should all ease off a bit. He may not be the best person in the whole world, and many people dislike him very, very much, but let’s all be a little more polite.

Yes, people may be taking it over the top, but perhaps they have good reason. I feel it is definately time for a new president – Bush has done plenty in his time in the Whitehouse, much of it being things that half of our country does not agree with. And people show their unease and frustration with products that criticize, and sometimes insult, Bush. But that has happened to every president – they can’t appeal to every single person. Look at Lincoln: half of the U.S. hated him for abolishing slavery.
Besides, most of those websites and Bush dolls are just for laughs – at least from what I’ve seen over here.
Max Bush is a lieing skeming bastard who killed thousands of people in Iraq, and killed are own soldiers for no reason what so ever he should be hated and made fun of we should have anti-Bush sections. Also just because some of the nation liked him before doesn’t mean that they should always support him threy can change there views your just too senstive
Wow.
Okay, as much as I don’t really support the war, it was not for no reason. Two very clear reasons were Saddam Hussein and oil. Besides, people join the army expecting to be in dangerous situations, even if we’re not in a war. We still have troops deployed in most of the world that many Americans don’t pay attention to.
And please, use the spelling and grammar skills you have been taught or are in the process of learning. It’s irritating having to decipher bad typing.
You feel sorry for Bush?
How about feeling sorry for the 525+ American men and women he has sent to their death in Iraq, not to mention the thousands of Iraqi people who have died?
How about feeling sorry for the thousands of Americans who did not vote for Bush but did not have their vote counted in 2000?
How about feeling sorry for the millions of Americans who are losing our freedoms every single day because of Bush’s war on terror, actions based on fear, hate and greed?
Stop feeling sorry for Bush. He knew exactly what he was getting into when he threw his hat in the ring and decided he wanted to follow in his daddy’s footsteps.
If you want to talk about hatred, think about the way the Republicans, Fox News and Rush Limbaugh crucified Bill Clinton during his presidency.
Just ask yourself what Clinton did to deserve the treatment he got and then compare that to the real evil Bush has done and will continue to do if he is re-elected.
I see your point. I just think that people should be less rude and immature about the the whole Bush thing, whether it’s deserved or not. I also do sort of feel sorry for him, in a way, because he seems a bit confused and pitiful. This does not mean that I like him at all. I just dislike him, and feel sorry for him at the same time. And if I can make this any more clear, it’s not the kind of feeling sorry that you feel when you’re sorry for somebody who got blamed for something they didn’t do. It’s the kind of feeling sorry you feel when somebody did something bad and you feel that it was a shame it happened. I hope people understand what I’m trying to say….
To pity a village idiot is okie, but an idiot with the power to ravage the world is another story. To pity Bush, for wrecking the lives of many inside, and outside our borders serves no purpose, the man deserves no pity. Futher more neither do the people who voted for him, and finally get the big picture.
Frankly, I still to the this day haven’t a clue why someone would vote for a conservative. Especially those who have had their lives effected the most, the workers, soldiers, farmers, its suicide.
