Hey, y’all!
I find few things more tedious than writing about pages, so I’m sorry in advance if this is boring. My name is Maxwell Tielman. I’m 23. I was born and raised in the charming and incredibly under-appreciated city of Buffalo, New York. I currently live in Brooklyn, New York with my fabulous boyfriend Daniel and my Dog, Mekko.
I’m currently getting my master’s in History of Decorative Arts and Design at Parsons. I’ve been in college for longer than I care to think about and there appears to be no end in sight.
I started this blog in December 2003 when I was fifteen. Back then, it functioned mostly as a daily chronicle of my life as an emo high school student with OCD. Nowadays, I mostly post pictures of buildings, my friends, and my apartment. EXCITING.
A little bit about this blog’s title:
Maxigumee is pronounced “Max-ih-goo-mee.”
When I was a little kid, my father told me a bedtime story involving a Native American boy named Maxigumee. Maxigumee lived in a hollowed out tree, would go on adventures through the forest with all of his animal friends, and was generally all-around politically incorrect.
